![]() i have a 1988 hunter 35. in order to tension the forestay the upper shrouds have to be quite tight. when the backstay is tensioned it bends the mast more then it tensions the forestay. i have a backstay adjuster as well. i have found that with the uppers and lowers tight along with adjusting the backstay i can control headstay tension.

![]() Hi,
You can probably retrofit the optional turnbuckle from Furlex to your furler. But I'd only do that if you really needed to play with rake and bend, as opposed to tension. Is this the same rig you asked about in another question, regarding tuning? Fair leads, Brion Toss |
